Terms of Service
The rules for using the LyfManager platform.

Welcome to LyfManager. These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your access to and use of the LyfManager website, applications, and services (together, the Platform). By creating an account, subscribing, booking a service, or buying a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are and what we do
LyfManager is a peer to peer marketplace that connects clients with independent helpers known as LyfManagers. LyfManagers offer everyday services such as driving, house cleaning, babysitting, grocery runs, handyman work, and pet care. LyfManager also operates MagicSense, an online store for curated smart home products and home robots.
LyfManager is a technology platform only. We do not perform services ourselves, we do not employ LyfManagers, and we are not a party to the agreements made between clients and LyfManagers.
2. Definitions
- Client: a member who pays a subscription to be matched with a LyfManager and to book services.
- LyfManager (or Provider): an independent helper who offers services through the Platform.
- MagicSense: the online store where smart home products and home robots are sold.
- Subscription: the monthly membership a Client pays to access matching and bookings.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your account details current, and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
4. Client subscriptions
Clients choose a monthly membership plan starting at $21.99 per month to be matched with a LyfManager and to book services. New members may receive a free trial period. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, and your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Membership fees are not refundable except where required by law.
5. Booking services and payments
LyfManagers set their own hourly rates and choose the services they are comfortable offering. When you book a service, you agree to pay the quoted hourly rate for the time worked.
Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. LyfManager collects payment on behalf of the LyfManager and may deduct a service fee before paying the LyfManager.
6. The MagicSense store
Products offered through MagicSense are sold for a one time price shown at checkout. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the product is delivered. Shipping times, warranties, and return windows are described on the product or at checkout.
If a product arrives damaged or faulty, contact us promptly so we can help arrange a replacement or a refund where eligible.
7. LyfManager obligations
Every LyfManager must complete identity verification before offering services. Sensitive categories, such as babysitting, require an additional certification before approval.
LyfManagers agree to perform services with reasonable skill and care, to honor accepted commitments, to follow all applicable laws, and to treat clients and their homes with respect.
8. Independent contractor relationship
LyfManagers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of LyfManager. LyfManagers decide when, where, and whether to accept work. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or joint venture relationship between LyfManager and any user.
9. Cancellations, missed appointments, and refunds
Clients and LyfManagers should give as much notice as possible when they need to cancel. To protect reliability, a LyfManager who misses three scheduled appointments under an active agreement may have that agreement ended.
Service fees already earned for completed work are not refundable, except where required by law or where a service was not delivered as agreed.
10. Ratings and reviews
After a service, clients may leave honest ratings and reviews. Reviews must be truthful and respectful. We may remove content that is false, abusive, or that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
11. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person.
- Arrange payment outside the Platform to avoid fees.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Share another person's private information without consent.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.
12. Safety and your own judgment
We take reasonable steps to verify LyfManagers, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of any user. You are responsible for using good judgment and for taking sensible safety precautions. If you ever feel unsafe, contact local emergency services first, then report the issue to us.
13. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LyfManager disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LyfManager and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or from services provided by a LyfManager.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to LyfManager in the three months before the claim, or one hundred dollars.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify LyfManager against any claims, damages, and costs that arise from your use of the Platform, the services you provide or receive, or your breach of these Terms.
16. Dispute resolution
Most concerns can be resolved quickly by contacting our support team. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and LyfManager agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court where eligible. You and LyfManager waive any right to participate in a class action.
17. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, create risk for others, or use the Platform in a way that could harm LyfManager or its community.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice. By continuing to use the Platform after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LyfManager is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
