Service Agreement

The agreement between a client and a LyfManager for a booked service.

This Service Agreement (the Agreement) sets out the terms between a client (the Client) and an independent LyfManager (the Provider) for services arranged through the LyfManager platform. It takes effect when the Provider accepts a request and the Client schedules a service. LyfManager is not a party to this Agreement.

1. The parties

This Agreement is between the Client and the Provider named in the booking. Both are independent of LyfManager, which acts only as the technology platform that connects them.

2. Services

The Provider agrees to perform the services described in the booking, such as driving, house cleaning, babysitting, grocery runs, handyman work, or pet care, and to perform them with reasonable skill and care. Any work beyond the agreed scope must be agreed by both parties in advance.

3. Hourly rate and payment

The Provider sets the hourly rate shown at the time of booking. The Client agrees to pay for the actual time worked at that rate. All payments are processed through the LyfManager platform. LyfManager may deduct a service fee and remit the balance to the Provider. The Client and the Provider agree not to arrange payment outside the Platform.

4. Scheduling and cancellation

Services take place at the times agreed between the Client and the Provider. Either party may cancel a scheduled appointment, giving as much notice as possible. A Provider who misses three scheduled appointments may have the underlying agreement ended in line with LyfManager policy.

5. Independent contractor status

The Provider is an independent contractor. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between the Client and the Provider, or between either party and LyfManager. The Provider is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment unless agreed otherwise.

6. Conduct and standards

Both parties agree to act respectfully, honestly, and lawfully, and to follow the LyfManager Community Guidelines. The Provider will treat the Client's home and property with care. The Client will provide a safe and respectful environment for the Provider.

7. Certifications and verification

The Provider confirms that they have completed identity verification and that they hold any certification required for sensitive services, such as babysitting, before performing those services.

8. Confidentiality and privacy

The Provider will keep private any personal information learned while performing services and will not share it without the Client's consent, except where disclosure is required by law.

9. Liability

Each party is responsible for its own acts and omissions. LyfManager is a marketplace platform only and is not responsible for the services performed under this Agreement. To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Term and termination

This Agreement continues until the agreed services are complete or until either party ends it. Either party may end the Agreement for a serious breach by the other. Amounts owed for work already performed remain payable.

11. Entire agreement

This Agreement, together with the LyfManager Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, is the entire agreement between the Client and the Provider for the services described, and it replaces any earlier discussions.
